Crunchy Jumble Cookies
(1970s) 1 1/4 C. all purpose flour 1/2 teasp B. Soda 1/4 teasp salt 1/2 C. margarine or butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 teasp vanilla 2 C. rice krispies ceral 1 6-oz (1 cup) Nestles chocolate morsels 1 c. seedlessraisins (optional) 1. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Set aside. 2. Measure margarine and sugar into large mixing bowl; beat until well-blended and smooth. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients; mix until combined. Stir in Rice Krispies ceral, semi-sweet chocolate morsels and raisins. Drop by level measuring tablespoononto lightly greased Baking sheets. 3. Bake in moderate oven (350*) about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.. Remove immediately from baking sheets; cool on wire racks. Yeild: about 3 1/2 dozen Crunchy Jumble Cookies 2 1/2 inces in diameter
